Usually I don't do this because the ferry ride followed by two bus rides all the way back to Yishun just kills any joy I have left once I reach home.

Not to mention the trip all the way back to Tekong late that very night or very early the next morning.

But today is special.

Today, I completed 7 chapters of a good book on the bus home.
Today, I opened the door to see a tiny baby lying down in the middle of a huge mattress in the living room.

Today, I surprised my mum with some dinner and food for the next day.

I quickly put down my stuff and straight after cleaning up I just lay down by the baby.

Just, watching.

I guess you can say I'm just fascinated. By this thing.
So small and yet can move. This miniature being, 20 years apart from me.

So carefree, unlike the wreck that I've been.

This is what they mean when they say life brings joy.
